MEET DR. DANIEL TAHERI
Dr. Daniel Taheri graduated from UCLA School of Medicine in 1993 and completed his residency at UCSD Medical Center in 1996. By then, he already had plans to open his own dermatology center. While developing a business model competitive enough to thrive in the Los Angeles area, he simultaneously published over 25 medical articles and coauthored the book, Practical Management of Skin Cancer.
LA LASER AND SKIN CENTER ESTABLISHED 1997
In 1997, Dr. Daniel Taheri established the LA Laser and Skin Center, where he currently serves as the CEO and Chief Medical Director. In the beginning, his small dermatology office offered basic medical and cosmetic procedures. As business boomed, he soon added improved treatment options and made plans to open more facilities throughout Los Angeles. As Taheri and his team researched new office locations, they began to notice an unsettling trend. The tristate area was riddled with patient populations who would have to travel hours outside their hometowns just to be treated by a dermatologist. It was particularly problematic for patients in desperate need of lifesaving skin cancer treatment and screening. Troubled by this statistic, they abandoned plans to serve high income populations and instead restructured Taheri’s business model to work for underserved communities. In no time at all, LA Laser and Skin Center opened facilities in remote areas of California, Arizona, and Nevada.
TAHERI MD SKIN CARE LINE
As Dr. Daniel Taheri worked tirelessly in his new offices, he once again found a crucial gap in the market. Though he would often recommend acne and wrinkle reduction therapies to his patients, Taheri identified a serious lack of quality skin care products with a moderate price tag that were actually as effective as they claimed to be. Soon enough, he began to develop his own line of acne and antiaging treatments. The result was a groundbreaking family of products which utilize cutting edge microsponge technology. The microsponges were a gentler way to deliver powerful treatments to troubled areas of the skin without the irritating side effects often caused by traditional creams and cleansers. When Dr. Taheri released his skin care line over a decade ago, his patients immediately enjoyed stunning results. Taheri MD Skin Care is now a staple in every LA Laser and Skin Center facility.

Today, Dr. Taheri and LA Laser and Skin Center are among the top care providers of medical and cosmetic dermatology in the western United States. There are currently 23 facilities, and possibilities for expansion are on the horizon. With the remote LA Laser and Skin Center locations now well established, Taheri and his team have set their sights for growth in denser populations, such as Las Vegas and Southern California. Many of the offices are also expecting to add even more treatments to their list of offerings, including CoolSculpting, Vbeam Laser Treatment, and Ultherapy. Some locations already house full service plastic surgery centers, with procedures such as breast augmentation and liposuction performed daily.
